my arm at 3 wks

There you have it, my arm at 3 weeks in it's purple cast. ( Click to see the whole thing.) How did I do this you are probably asking, since Jocelyn didn't give any details? So here is the long drawn out story.

I was going to the Great Room carrying clothes that I needed to iron. We were getting ready to go sing, with our church family, at Stella Manor Nursing Home (this was on Wed the 10th of Sep.) We have a 'kid' gate to keep the dogs out of that part of the house, and instead of opening the gate, we just step over it....unfortunately for me I didn't quite get that back leg over and my forward momentum just kept me going. I didn't want to get the clothes dirty, so I held my right arm up high and fell.....hurt like the dickens. Since we only had a 30 minute wait before we were suppose to leave I put ice packs on it. Picked up a friend who rides in with us, dropped him off at the nursing home and went to the ER. Was back out in one hour (that doesn't happen too often), went to Sonic and got a Rootbeer Blended Float, then went to band practice. Brad and I and our friend Mary Metz (shown in Jocelyn's slide presentation:) sing in a praise and worship band on Monday nights, we practice on Wed night when no one else is around. Anyhow, I've been on limited duty ever since. I'm now able to use my fingers but the arm itself still hurts if I twist it, so I don't do too much. Poor Brad, he has to do everything now. Gotta go. 'See' yah'll later. Susan
