So...there are much more exciting things going on with all of you than there are down here! The only event we've had at all was Zach trying to remove his pinky while working at Mom and Dad's. He's fine now...they took him to the emergency room but got tired of waiting. He says it is healing fine. (Really it was just a cut.)
I don't know if anyone will find this exciting or not...I do. Over my Christmas break I sat down and taught myself to knit! I've been crochetting since I was 10 (Thank you, Grandma!!!) and I always wanted to know how to knit also. Grandma taught me to crochet and as time went on I learned new stitches by reading instruction books. She's even helped me figure out what I was doing wrong over the phone! So I've been talking about wanting to knit for so long that I bought one of those $5 kits at walmart that comes with the needles and sat down to work. About 45min later I was knitting! There are even a tone of websites that will show you in a video how to do it! (That's how I figured out how to purl.) Now I want to sit down with Dad one day and knit...he says Grandma Poulson taught him. Maybe I can teach him how to purl! Anyway, so that's my exciting news...I enjoy it!
Mom and Dad and Zach have been working hard trying to get the hotwire fixed so that the dogs can't get out. They were gone for a couple days this last time and Machen barely made it home. She's getting to old to be roaming the countryside for days on end. I feel bad being so far away and not being able to help with all that stuff. I get to go home this next weekend so I'm sure they can find something for me to help with! I know Mom is going to tell me to play with Chewy! She is still making the back yard look like a mine field. :( Hopefully she'll grow out of it!

I'll try to post a picture to prove we have a mine field in our back yard. As soon as I can figure out how. The wire is laid out so she can't dig the porch up...which she was in the process of doing.
ok! Can't figure out how to post picture so it'll have to wait for Jocelyn to do it.
Mind if we call you "Purl" from now on!? Good for you. I can crochet, but I cannot knit. Maybe one day you could teach me! Joyce.
I AM impressed with the knitting thing! I've wanted to learn too, but being a lefty has its dis-advantages. I think it is a dying art! We need to keep it alive with your generation.
There are instructions for Lefty's!!! Even in the cheap instructions I got at WalMart!
