Getting settled...

So, I am still getting settled into my new house. We have most everything we need...well, we have electricity, water, and a washing machine, dryer (that isn't working)...and most importantly...Internet! haha I managed to find a stove and fridge pretty cheap but cant get it picked up until Saturday...that is when we will have help. (Good to have friends with trucks!) We were supposed to get the gas turned on yesterday, but there was a miscommunication and we won't have it until NEXT Thursday, which means no hot water. My friend's parents are being extremely nice by letting both my roommate and I shower there every night. Thank you, Bob and Joy!

Chewy got to move down here with me too. She did really well on the trip down, but has been a ball of stress ever since. She is slowly relaxing...and even more slowly...warming up to my roommate and my friend Brady. I guess that is what we get for not socializing her more! Sometime in the last couple of weeks she has decided that she likes to play fetch. Not strange, considering she is a retriever...but strange because she never has before. She would rather chase the dog that was fetching and tackle them. I'm glad she has decided to play because other than walking I really wasn't sure what I was going to do with her. She is really enjoying being a house dog, never leaves my side. Sounds nice, but annoying when you have to stare her in the face while in the bathroom. haha Or when you step on her while you are trying to turn around. It is like everyday we start over...only it is just slightly better. Who knows...in a few weeks she may actually let someone besides me pet her! 

School is about to start...well, for the teachers at least. On Monday we will begin our staff development. I'm a little worried about leaving Chewy in the pen for 8 hours, but it was going to have to happen eventually. I am somewhat excited to get back in my room and put away all of my new Art supplies. What I am not excited about is putting my room back together. I had completely forgotten that every summer they pull everything out of each room and wax the floors. Between that and all the new supplies, my room is a wreck! I have recruited Brady to come help me tomorrow though! :) School starts for the kiddos on August 19th...never understand why they start on a Wednesday. Although...I know that I am beat after a couple days the first week...so maybe it is so no one gets hurt. hahaha

I know that you guys are probably wanting pictures of my new place...as well as mom and dads. I am going to try to finish cleaning and putting stuff away this weekend so that I can take some pictures and post them. Currently the kitchen is so gross that we have set up the microwave and put our random foods in the office on the computer desk. Like Daddy said though...you get what you pay for. We have really cheap rent....but the only gross part of the house is the kitchen, so I guess it isn't that bad. I am enjoying the extra room though. It is worth it!
