Saturday night Zach and Leslie came over for dinner and a game of Phase10. Mom won. Stinker.
Sunday we went to church. It was just Mom and me since Daddy was still in Utah. We both had a big nap that afternoon. Ahhhh. :)
Monday, more visiting Katie and the kids and then off to lunch with a friend who I usually only see once every 6 months. We were at 'lunch' from 1 till a little after 5. We should have just stayed and eaten dinner too! I love catching up with Keri though. And we have to spend hours because we know it will be a while before we do it again!
Monday night Daddy got home around 12:30. Glad to finally see him! (Grandma, thanks for letting him come home. We sure missed him!)
Tuesday it was finally dry enough for me to go out and attempt to fill in the holes that the dogs dug under the plum tree. Ugh. I don't know if any of you have ever seen the kind of destruction these dogs can do...but they are serious when it comes to hole digging.
I said I was going to attempt to fill the holes, and that is exactly what transpired. I have no idea what happens to all of the dirt they dig up. I raked a twelve foot radius around the base of the plum tree scouring for dirt.
Yes, there was dirt 12 feet out. 12. Not 3, not 6....TWELVE. Do you think I got enough dirt? Do you? I might, MIGHT have been able to fill the holes halfway full.
Maybe.
If you look at it from the right angle.
And squint.
With one eye closed.
I got tired of looking at dirt.
And dogs.
Here's the main perpetrator now...see how cute she is?
Don't let her cuteness fool you.
Call me if you need any excavating. She's the dog for the job.
I decided after that attempt that I would trim Mom's Crepe Myrtles.
That was Tuesday.
Hopefully I won't still be feeling it tomorrow.
