Some sort of front has moved into our area this week. I wasn't paying attention to what kind, it really doesn't matter. If there is any kind of shift in the weather other than warming from overnight temps...the kids are affected. Case in point: It rained the night before last, chances of (never happened) rain today. Today it warmed up and got pretty muggy too. This is the warmest it has been so far this year. The children: INSANE. One word. www.dictionary.com describes it as:
in·sane [in-seyn]
–adjective
1.not sane; not of sound mind; mentally deranged.
2.of, pertaining to, or characteristic of a person who is mentally deranged: insane actions; an insane asylum.
3.utterly senseless: an insane plan.
I prefer mentally deranged and utterly senseless, in this case.
My students, all of them, lost it today. Even my little angels in Printmaking workshop were bouncing off the walls. Which makes me:
batty, bizarre, cracked, crazed, crazy, cuckoo, daft, demented, derailed, deranged, fatuous, frenzied, idiotic, impractical, irrational, irresponsible, loony, lunatic, mad, maniacal, mental, moonstruck, nuts, nutty, of unsound mind, off one's rocker, out of one's mind, paranoid, preposterous, psychopathic, psychotic, rabid, raging, raving, schizophrenic, screwy, senseless, touched, unhinged, unsettled, wild

The best part?
This will continue for the rest of the year! Why? Because the weather in Arkansas is predictably unpredictable. If you don't like the weather, stick around for 10 minutes...It will change!
Now, if you would please, help me find my marbles?

I'll try...if I can find mine first. You know how children covet shiny, colorful objects. ;)
