Sunday, July 4 Happy Birthday America!
Sunday Danni cooked us breakfast. Yum! She and Jed were great hosts. We basically had our own little apartment downstairs, not that we stayed there other than to sleep... We were always going somewhere! Sunday afternoon we went to see Grandma and Grandpa. I cannot tell you how much I've missed them! Five years is way too long...and the last time I was there it was only for a couple of days. It was so nice to sit around and visit with them. They had just gotten back from their trip to Europe so they were jet lagged. : ) I know that must be hard anyway, but after a three week trip on the go the whole time? Whew! I can't imagine!
Day 5
Danni and Jed took us out on their boat again for a nice day of sunshine and surfing?!?! I had never heard of surfing behind a boat until then. It looks pretty cool. (I don't think I could do it though!) We had a good time just hanging out and getting some sunshine. It was perfect weather...although the water was a little cool for us. It was so nice to be able to hang out and get some sunshine without melting. Anytime I go boating down here we generally only stop to bail into the water for 20 minutes and then its back in the boat to cruise around and catch a breeze!
Here is their friend Brett demonstrating how to surf behind a boat. Looks fun!
Where'd he go?
This is Coset, whose nickname is Cosey. She is adorable. She is Brett and Betsy's little girl. At one point she needed out of the water so I helped her out and wrapped her in a towel. I guess she decided I was pretty comfy because she curled up in my lap and dozed off. Just precious!
Jed's turn! He makes it look so easy! He was literally giving lessons to all the guys in the back of the boat as he surfed. Maybe I'll give it a try next time...we'll see.
