Road Trip 2010 - Days 6 & 7

Where did Tuesday (day 6) go? Jeez time flies. Yesterday I spent most of the day hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa’s…that was nice. J Linda needed a day for herself so she stayed at Dannielle’s and entertained herself. Grandma and I went grocery shopping for the barbeque at Mike and Kris’. It was so nice to just hang out with her and Grandpa and visit. I’ve missed them so much!

Tuesday night we went to Mike and Kris’ for the barbeque and swim. The wind was blowing, so I was cold (yet again!) It was so great to see everyone! Kinda missing some folks though! (Cali Alvey’s, Goehring’s, Dan, Dallon, Colby, Tanner and Arkie Alvey’s!) I finally got to meet Dallon’s wife Diane. She’s pretty cool! She is really great with Sophie!

Jaxon kept messing with Courtney, so she sent her enforcer to take care of the problem...

Today (day 7) we went to Riverdale and had lunch with Cara and her two boys. I can’t believe she has two boys! Holy Cow! It is amazing how fast we have all grown up. Well, most of us anyway. Things are still the same with Cara and I. Like I never left. She is a true lifetime friend. Her boys are so cute. Cole is 3 and Owen is 1 month. Cole is so funny. He repeats things that you say, but not like you would expect a 3 year old to do. He repeats the long, hard words. He can say Arkansas, Quesadilla….crazy things like that.

After lunch Linda and I went to Layton Hills Mall and spent way too much money. We even bought some really cute jewelry and hair accessories. And I’m not usually one to have things other than bobby pins in my hair…but these are CUTE!

Spent the afternoon and dinner at Grandma and Grandpa’s. Went to Debi and Dan’s after to hang out for a while. It was nice to catch up with them and chat. Tomorrow we ride the FrontRunner down to Salt Lake City!
