This morning I had to take the million dollar cat to the vet. Daddy found him last night, laying on the back steps unwilling or unable to open his eyes. He wouldn't move voluntarily, meow, or even resist being snuggled...that's when I knew he HAD to be sick. He only wants to snuggle when he wants to snuggle...and he will search you out, but the minute you pick him up - he usually bolts. I took him in this morning and got meds for him and all the other varmints. Turns out he has a tapeworm :( gross. And Chewy (lab) has been showing signs herself. So we decided to dope them all up to keep take care of the problem instead of having to take them in. (I really like our vet...she makes it easier on us...and a little cheaper.)
After that the cat (still lethargic) was perfectly content in his little crate...so I went and had coffee with Katie. Don't worry...I left the cat with the car and the a/c running...he was asleep anyway. : ) It was nice and cool in there.
After getting home I had to take the cat out and medicate him. He is now on house arrest until he recovers fully, the weather gets cooler (100+ all week), or he drives us completely insane...whatever comes first. (Guess which is most likely...) So now I'm on kitty med patrol until I leave for Utah. (Less than two weeks now!!!!)
