Okay, so first of all I need to say...I changed my mind. That last post counts as one of the two for last week.

Haha.

It amazes me that there can be so much going on and yet, nothing to blog about. I guess I can start with the weekend...

This Memorial Day weekend I spent a lot of time out on Lake Chicot (For those of you not familiar with Cajun - don't pronounce the 't'). Lake Chicot is an oxbow lake off of the Mississippi River. Nice little place. I spent Saturday and Sunday afternoon relaxing in the front of the boat while my friends and I cruised around the lake, occasionally stopping to cool off in the water. The weather was perfect! (Other than the ever-present threat of late afternoon thunder showers.) I opted to come back to Crossett Sunday night to rest up for the last week of school. (Yay!)

Ahhhhhh. The last week of school. Such a beautiful thing. And tomorrow is the last day. Even better.

Our students had their last day today, leaving at 1:30. We shoved them into their cars/buses with a big smile on our faces! Did I say shove? I meant: we helped the little darlings into their cars/ buses, wishing they could stay longer. (HA!) Tomorrow we will finish up any cleaning we have to do and then sit around and wait for 3:30 to roll around and then every teacher can be heard humming "School's Out for Summer!" as we race for the parking lot...
